a professor at the Latin American Studies Center of the Faculty of History, Nankai University, and a doctoral supervisor for world history majors. Deputy Director of the World Modern History Research Center of Nankai University (Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education).
Part-time invited researcher of the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and invited researcher of the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society of Latin American History, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Latin American History, and Chinese Society of Economic History Vice Chairman of the Professional Committee of Foreign Economic History.
The main research areas: the history of Latin America, the economic history of Latin America, and the modernization process of Latin America. He once presided over the completion of the sub-project of the Ministry of Education's major research project Latin American Modernization Mode, and the major subject of the Ministry of Education's base The modernization path of major countries in Latin America. He has published more than 90 academic papers in journals such as History Research and World History.
Books: The History of Latin American Economic System, Multinational Corporations and Mexico's Economic Development, and the editor-in-chief of The History of World Modernization (Latin American Volume), Latin American Culture and Modernization and other works. Among them, The Process of World Modernization (Latin American Volume) won the second prize of the 2012 Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education.
Presiding over the research of the National Social Science Fund Project Cultural Innovation Movement and Modernization in Mexico in the First Half of the 20th Century and the major project Nationalism and Modernization in Latin America based on the Ministry of Education.
